New Escare Youth Worker

Ray DavisDuring April, Escare welcomed Lorette Trocinski as the new Escare Youth Worker, and said a fond farewell to the previous Youth Worker, Ray Davis, who started when the Escare Youth Service began 6+ years ago.

Ray is setting off to start the Clontarf Football Academy Program at Nulsen Primary School in Esperance.

 

Aboriginal Women's Learning Group (Yorgah Barmah)

This Learning Group commenced in 2006 with 5 workshops. In 2007 the group met every two weeks in a series of Art, Craft and Information Workshops, at the George Street Centre, Esperance.

Family Fun Morning - May 17th 2007

Escare celebrated Family Week with a Family Fun Morning with various activities on the foreshore. These included; Sausage Sizzle, Collaborative Artwork, Bouncy Castle, Face Painting and provision of stacks of helpful information for Esperance Families.

Farewell to Laura Sime - May 2007

Escare said farewell to Laura Sime in May 2007 after nearly two years at Escare. Laura's work during that time was really appreciated.

New Family Support Worker - May 2007

Lorette Trocinski became the new Family Support Worker in May 2007.

Money Matters Worshop with Ellen Moffat

Topics included; understanding paperwork, goal setting, credit, debts and budgets. For people with a Health Care Card.

Parenting... the Primary Years with Claire Franklin June 2007

Topics included: Building Resilience, Developmental tasks and Gender differences.

Effective Communication with David Szczecinski September 2007

Topics include: Assertiveness, Getting our needs met, practical skills, and boundary setting. For people with a Health Care Card.

Hip Hop Workshops 19 October 2007

A fantastic opportunity to learn latest Hip Hop dance with highly experienced Perth teacher Lena John. Supported by the Esperance Shire and Office of Youth and Escare Youth Service. The workshop was open to young people 12-18yrs.
