Adult Community Education 2007 (Archive)
Escare has been successful in securing funding to run a series of workshops to increase participation and diversity in Adult Community Education (ACE) in 2007.
The project was recently completed with the funding granted from the Department of Education and Training.
The grants encourage innovative programs and practices that will attract adults from targets groups to participate in lifelong learning activities. The aim to expand the participation of under - represented groups in adult community education activities.The target group of the 2007 ACE program was Aboriginal women.

Aboriginal Women's Learning Group ("Yorgah Barmah")
Art,
Craft and Information Workshops.
The program included; Mural of what the ladies families do together, Family Week Activity at the Foreshore, Food Cents program, painting tiles, dot painting, cooking, community health information, pottery and silk screening.
The women will continue to meet and look at other avenues of funding for the future.
