Escare offers workshops that assist in the development of parenting and life skills.
Escare in 2008 will offer workshops to assist
parents and families in Esperance and will include;
"Protective Behaviours"facilitated by Jo Aberle. A preventative life skills program that helps children to develop skills and strategies to keep themselves safe.
Other examples of topics and programs covered and supported by Escare at the George Street Centre or at Lotteries House include:
- Good nutrition for families
- Parenting Primary Years/Teenagers
- Communication
- Child development
- Food Cents
- Scrap booking
- Post-Natal Depression group
- Toddler Development
Community Development
Escare also works collaboratively with other community agencies to provide skills development. For example, Escare support courses run by the Community Health Centre, such as the excellent 'Positive Parenting' Course (Triple P) by providing the Creche which is held at the George Street Centre. Triple P is a specialised Behaviour Modification Program, run by Community Health.

Parenting Resources
Escare has a wide selection of books, handouts, tapes and videos on parenting issues, child development, relationships and self development. These are available for loan for individuals, families and groups.
This includes a branch of the Goldfields Parenting Resource Library ; we have access to hundreds of up to date and re-printed classic parenting books, DVD's and Videos.
